Despite bankruptcy, the TWU has done a far better job of protecting Title II jobs than the Teamsters.  At American Airlines, our union has retained more facilities and automotive maintenance jobs in house, than the Teamster have at both United and Continental airlines combined.

Our focus on Title II jobs is more important than ever.  US Airways has a history of outsourcing our work.  Changing unions during the merger process is a bad idea.

We don’t want to end up as contract workers like so many of United’s facilities and maintenance mechanics.  That’s why we made our video:  Your Union: Title II, Mechanic to Mechanic.
