Welcome to Local 513’s new website, I believe this website will be a huge resource for all the members of our Local. The information provided will be beneficial in many ways; we will make sure you are thoroughly informed on all issues that apply to our Union. 

Since this is my first message to you, the members, on our new website; I would like to stress the importance of UNITY to all the members of this great Local!! 

In 2010, I went on a five station tour to New York, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles and Dallas with Presidents Dave Verella, Shawn Doyle, Sidney Jimenez, and Donny Tindall. We titled this the “ONE UNION ONE VOICE” Movement. The goal was and still is to unify the TWU in a way that has never been done before. 

Brothers and Sisters, WE are in the fight of our lives!!! Our contract negotiations are stuck and not moving in any direction and when you watch the news it’s very clear that unions around the country are under attack. 

The commitment made by the Cornerstone Presidents to go above and beyond to inspire a higher level of unity within the TWU is the same commitment I need from all of the members of Local 513. We can win this battle for a better contract and we can be instrumental in the battle against labor in this country if we fulfill our destiny and become ONE!!! 

Your Union, the TWU, owns the two best contracts in the industry. If we stand TOGETHER we will always remain the best in the industry. For those who come across as doubters and naysayers, educate them with the facts and demand that we stand united, because if divided, we will surely fall!! 

I believe in the labor movement and I believe in you the Members of Local 513!!!!
