This is a call for boots on the ground.
We need union members who can volunteer to help us “Get Out The Vote” in Tarrant County for labor’s candidates for 3 consecutive Saturdays, starting February 22nd, out of the Labor Council headquarters. This work is important in securing the democratic seat that Sen. Wendy Davis in Senate District 10 is vacating.
We will be Getting Out The Vote (GOTV) for Senate District 10 candidate Libby Willis, House Representative Lon Burnam (HD 90), and Congressman Marc Veasey (CD 33)
GOTV is a union-member-to-member door knock program. We will provide volunteers with all the necessary candidate materials and talking points, as well as door to door driving directions from one union household to another. A GOTV route can be completed by a pair of volunteers in just a few hours. Bring a spouse, friend, or co-worker to help.
Labor Council Delegates please be sure to forward this to your respective local leadership and ask that it be circulated among your local’s membership so that we get as many union volunteers as possible!
