NorthGate to perform eastbound SH 114 traffic switch starting Friday
Starting Friday, April 5 at 8 PM, NorthGate Constructors will begin putting eastbound SH 114 from Texan Trail to International Parkway into its permanent traffic pattern. Information for this weekend’s switch - which is set to be completed by Monday, April 8 at 6 AM - is as follows:

Traffic Pattern Change: We will put eastbound SH 114 from Texan Trail to International Parkway into its permanent configuration. Click here to see a visual of the new traffic pattern.

Date and Time: Continuously from 8 p.m. on Friday, April 5 to 6 a.m. on Monday, April 8.

Associated closures: Due to the amount of work associated with this traffic switch, the lane closures and detour maps have been separated based on day –

8 PM on Friday, April 5 to 12 PM (noon) on Saturday, April 6:

Full highway closure on eastbound SH 114 from Main Street to Texan Trail (detour to frontage road)

Full highway closure on northbound SH 121 from Mustang Drive to Main Street (detour to frontage road)

Full ramp closure on eastbound SH 114 off-ramp to northbound SH 121 (detour to Freeport Parkway, then the westbound SH 114 off-ramp to northbound SH 121)

Multiple lanes closed on eastbound SH 114 from Texan Trail to International Parkway (one lane will remain open)

Full highway closure on eastbound SH 114 at International Parkway (detour Sandy Lake Road, then the southbound SH 121 off-ramp to eastbound SH 114)

Full ramp closure on eastbound SH 114 on-ramp at Texan Trail (detour to Texan Trail, southbound SH 26, then the eastbound SH 114 on-ramp at SH 26)

Full ramp closure on eastbound SH 114 off-ramp to southbound International Parkway/DFW Airport (detour to Freeport Parkway, then the westbound SH 114 off-ramp to southbound International Parkway/DFW Airport)

Multiple lanes closed on eastbound SH 114 and northbound SH 121 at Main Street (one lane will remain open)

**Please be aware there will be a few changes after this traffic switch that drivers should be aware of, including:

Eastbound SH 114 will move to the right, in between the off-ramp to northbound SH 121 and DFW Airport.
o The eastbound SH 114 on-ramp at Texan Trail will move to the east into its permanent configuration. Please note there will no longer be access to IH-635 or SH 121 and DFW Airport from the eastbound SH 114 on-ramp at Texan Trail. Access will be maintained through Main Street.
